Though likely known more for his six NBA championship rings with the Chicago Bulls as well as being one of the best players to grace the NBA, Pippen earned his Olympic experience after being named to the 1992 Olympic squad where he and the rest of the Dream Team brought home a gold medal from Barcelona, Spain. He would participate in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia and win his second of two gold medals.
Pippen was known for his incredible defensive abilities, earning 10 NBA All-Defensive Team awards as well as being one of the 50 Greatest players named during the 1996 Anniversary All-Time Team.
After retiring from the game, Pippen spent a few years working with the Chicago Bulls organization as a basketball analyst. Apparently itching to play again, Pippen suited up in a handful of European basketball games. Though contemplating a return to the NBA only a year earlier, Pippens latest whereabouts concern a possible attempt at coaching.
For exmaple, with Scott Skiles being ousted in Chicago about a quarter of the way into the 2007-08 season, Pippens interests immediately turned to the Windy City. However, Pippen was not chosen as the coach, nor was he ever seriously being considered for it. Only time will tell if we will see Pippen on the sidelines, but with a resume like his, it would not be far-fetched.
